Wyland is an accomplished painter, sculptor, photographer, writer and SCUBA diver. We tested the New Atomic Aquatics BladeFin for seven days straight in Misool Eco Resort, then for 10 days on The Pindito Liveaboard in Raja Ampat, Indonesia – for a total of 55 dives. The New BladeFin is very light, powerful, and fast. It works in the current, and I can catch up with just about anybody in our group – and I’m not a very strong swimmer. I must admit that if I had another paddle fin I would have ended up with lots of cramps, but BladeFins had a very easy kick.
I would say they are great fins. They are light, fast, stylish, and not as stiff as some other paddle fins.

Our boat crew dive gear is stowed outdoors 24 hours a day and over 300 days a year. The regulators, SS1’s , computers, fins and masks are constantly exposed to salt, sun and accidental impact from other divers.
